What if I can't find the approval certificate for my MSA product?

Even if it is not listed on the product page, the product may have the approval you need. Please call MSA Customer Service: 1-800-672-2222

My US-approved product says Class I on it but does not have any Division marking on it. How do I know where I can install it?

The only time an unmarked Division is permitted is when the protection technique is Explosion-proof. Thus, it is suitable for installation in any hazardous (classified) locations allowed for this protection technique. Typically, this is Division 1, but it may be Division 2 if installed with Explosion-proof wiring methods.

My MSA product does not have a Temperature Class (e.g. T4) marked on it. How do I know if it is suitable for the gases present?

If no Temperature Class is marked, it is T5 or T6. The actual temperature class can be found by checking the certification or by contacting MSA Customer Service: 1-800-672-2222.
